West Warwick has a long history as a thriving mill town, and has managed to transform with the times while still preserving some of its heritage and traditions. Among these local gatherings are the longstanding celebrations of St. Patrick's Day and the Portuguese Holy Ghost Festival.

Affordability is one of the many great things West Warwick has to offer. This attribute certainly comes in handy when you live in such close proximity to the Warwick Mall, the second most popular mall in the state. A contemporary shopping center with a Trader Joe's is also close, as well as the night campus of the Community College of Rhode Island. Many of West Warwick's historic mills have been converted into upscale housing, bringing a new generation of residents to this versatile Rhode Island town.
