Glocester is a rural community in Providence County, Rhode Island. The town was incorporated in 1731 and today is home to approximately 10,500 residents. Glocester has a rich history dating back to the 18th century which can be seen from its architecture and historical sites around the town.

Glocester is home to the Chepachet Village-the first village in Rhode Island that was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. This historic town is home to many events around town such as the annual Ancients and Horribles Parade which takes place on the 4th of July. The parade is a satirical political event that takes place every year and includes a variety of events such as a carnival, battles of the bands, a road race and fireworks.

The town is also perfect for shopping with a thriving business community and has a variety of unique shops such as antiques, gifts and collectibles.

The majority of residents in Glocester live in single­f amily homes in styles such as Ranch, Cottage and Colonial. Much of the real estate in town are on large properties with many acres-some with waterfront views or allow horses. There are other homes for sale in Glocester, however, such as multi­family homes, condominiums and apartments.
