Lincoln

Voted the 63rd "Best Place to Live and Launch" in the country by CNN Money, Lincoln is full of natural beauty and a variety of attractions. The town's smaller size and proximity to major cities makes it not only a great place to live, but also a prime location to start a business. Lincoln has six public schools, with Lincoln Senior High School being voted the 4th best high school in the state by U.S. News & World Report, earning them a silver medal.

Spend a day at the Lincoln Woods State Park, offering swimming in its freshwater beach, fishing, hiking, biking or horseback riding. The park also has horse trails, bike trails, and little league fields that can be reserved. Eastern Mountain Sports Kayak School is located in the park and offers lessons and kayak tours. Bally's Twin River Casino, open since 2007, provides gaming, entertainment, restaurants, and more.

Formed in 1871, Lincoln has a rich history which can be seen through its real estate. Several Colonial homes including Stone­ Enders still exist around town. Many homes for sale are historic buildings from the 19th century that have been renovated but still retain their charm. Lincoln has homes in a variety of price ranges from luxury properties to modern Capes. Condominiums, Townhouses, single­ and multi­-family homes are also in abundance.

Lincoln is a lovely northern city in close proximity to Providence and with easy access to Massachusetts, but the town's suburban/rural fabric has been maintained.


Impressions/Character

The State bike paths continue along in Lincoln on the old Blackstone River Canal. There are several areas which exist for the pure enjoyment of the area's rustic charm, including the Quinville Conservation Area, Holiday Drive Conservation Area, and North Central Conservation Area. On the other end of the recreational spectrum is the Twin River Casino which offers famous names in entertainment, dinning, and nightlife. Lincoln Woods is renowned for its gaming fields, picnicking, and swimming areas, also providing kayak rentals to visitors. Large new homes are in many neighborhoods.
