North Kingstown is a small town on the west side of Narragansett Bay and has great beaches and boating.

Its most well known village is Wickford with its historic center complete with lovely shops, beautiful harbor and collection of preserved 18th century homes. North Kingstown is the birthplace of America's foremost portrait painter, Gilbert Stuart. History and culture are woven into the fabric of North Kingstown, whether you care to enjoy one of the nation's oldest working farms, beautifully maintained homes, or the renowned Quonset Air Museum. In addition to the historic homes, there are also farms, condominiums and more modern homes.

The town is comprised of several villages: Allenton, Davisville, Fox Island, Hamilton, Plum Beach, Poplar Point, Quidnessett, Quonset, Saunderstown (also Narragansett), Slocum, Wickford, and Wild Goose Point.
