Westport is an area which has preserved its identity as a residential town with a vibrant farming community. Interstate 195 runs right across the town's northern side, providing easy access to Bristol and Newport, as well as a direct route to Providence.

With the array of charming coves and inlets driving up the center of Westport, you would be hard-pressed to find an area that doesn't have at least some aspect of the calming water's edge. This coastal town allows one to feel miles away from the typical hustle and bustle, and yet is still in close proximity to all the amenities of modern living. The Horseneck Beach State Reservation at Westport's southern point is a shining jewel of ocean offering two miles of extended beach. Excellent wind conditions help create a favorable environment for all manner of ocean activity, while an adjacent estuary habitat and 100-site campground creates the optimum New England oceanfront experience. No matter the season, Westport is a desirable area with historic charm.
